Video and Sound

A lot of different ones swimming around disoriented, in a tank that does not correspond to their natural habitat. But that's not the point.

In this installation, three videos are positioned on top of each other, all using the same source: Different shots of a fish tank in the Saigon Zoo. Different sinusoidal sounds are heard, controlled by the recorded fish through motion tracking via Max/MSP. The movements and reflections of the water interact with the vibrations and frictions of the sine tones. The three videos, together with the sine tones, form individual voices of the polyphonic composition and were musically edited and stitched together accordingly.

(The video is shown here horizontally, but is to be viewed vertically and is also exhibited this way (see photos)).
